# New Agent Onboarding and Licensing Verification When a new Agent is hired, HR first submits a licensing verification request, then the Compliance Officer confirms the agent's license is active in the applicant's state. Once licensing is confirmed, IT Security provisions the new Agent's access to the Policy Administration System and CRM. After access is granted, the Agent completes required training before being allowed to sell policies. Policy requires license verification to be completed before any system access is granted — an agent cannot be provisioned first and verified later. In practice, HR usually starts the verification process a week before the agent's start date, so access is ready on day one. Agents licensed in multiple states must have each state license verified separately, per the Multi-State Licensing Policy.
